Youth as a social actor



After a selection process, hundreds of youths from the Americas who have participated in prior consultations, will meet from April 10th to 13th 2012 in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, to discuss the implementation plans for the previously adopted

The involvement of stakeholders has been strengthened by ...

1.- Forums and consultations, both in person and virtual.

2.- Consideration of the recommendations at the Member States' meetings (SIRG, CISC and Inter Ministerial Meetings).

3.- High-level dialogues between Member States and representatives of the Social Partners in the framework of the Summit.

4.- Accompanying the States in the implementation of their commitments

5.- Development of virtual participation

Policy Dialogues and lecture of the Americas:

Dialogue between Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Social Actors at the Summit: Youth Representatives present the results of pre-Summit activities and the Youth Declaration of the Americas.

Over 1200 young people participated in the preliminary activities of the Fifth Summit
